Maybe we will never be as big as Facebook,
but we don't want to be!
Imagine a social media platform that is run by the people, for the people.
Imagine a social media platform that is run by the people, for the people.
Picusly is the first decentralized, blockchain-integrated and community-driven social media network where users pay to use the infrastructure, without a middleman or centralized organization. All infrastructure provides by community members who are rewarded for running servers. We solve cost problem of decentralized applications with this model.
Learn MoreUnlike other free services, you charges what you use with PCST tokens so that there's no need for invasive ads or selling your data to third parties Facebook does.
As a server owner, you can support decentralized projects and also earn PCST tokens when someone uses your server as exit node to the network.
Learn MoreTo connect to a server, users pay the PCST token fee set by the person running the server and access the entire network by connecting to the server.
Users pay the fee to use the server directly to the wallet determined by the server owner. The server checks the payments on the blockchain behalf of node owner and automatically accepts the users to network.
Node owners set all prices. There is no upper or lower price limit, but the total amount of PCST tokens the node owner will receive from their users per month cannot exceed the number of PCST tokens they have staked. Pricing is calculated using the “price based on the staking” method.
No information is stored on servers. Servers are only in the transition role. A server must prove whether its digital signature is correct in order to connect to other servers and client-side. Servers using modified docker images are blocked from connecting to the network. Client-side software uses the Signal protocol to create a p2p secure connection. In this way, it becomes impossible for the nodes in between to monitor the data flow.
Learn MoreWe are a small team of two and we work full time for this project. We will be happy to see more participants among us in the future.
